Hello! Welcome to my personal portfolio. Feel free to look around and get a sense of some of my projects, skills, or even my personal teaching philosophy. Aside from me as a teacher, here is a bit about me as a person:
I was born in Argentina and moved to New Jersey when I was a toddler, and grew up in New Jersey. Being close to New York City, I fell in love with cities, Broadway, and experiencing a plethora of new things. I have always loved reading and writing, I have more books than I can count and have been writing poetry and prose for years.
Throughout my childhood I went through wanting to have almost any job from zookeeper to surgeon, but once I had the thought to become a teacher, it stuck. Since middle school I have known that teaching is what I want to do with my life. I enjoy helping others and several teachers throughout my life have made such a large impact on my life, and I want to have that effect on some student.
It’s a bit of an internet joke that English teachers are always the ones who change lives, but in my opinion, it’s true more often than not, which is why that is what I want to teach. That is not the only reason, as my love of literature is my main motivation towards teaching the subject. Books and any form of writing are such an important part of my life and I hope to instill such an affection towards literature in my students.
I have a dog named Picasso who is back home with my mom and got my lovely cat Atticus last year and they each teach me so much about responsibility and the importance of not always being alone
In 2022 I was finally able to travel to Europe for the first time. I was able to meet online friends in person, and experience so much in several cities. Every place taught me something new and gave me a new perspective on just about anything.
Along with several hobbies, such as drawing, writing, and knitting, I absolutely love theatre and take every opportunity of my home being close to NYC to see as many shows as I possibly can anytime that I go visit.
